Overview#

The Trackr Chrome Extension is designed to be the fastest way to get job postings from platforms like LinkedIn, Indeed, and company career pages directly into your Trackr pipeline.

Why it exists#

Copying and pasting URLs, company names, and job descriptions manually is tedious and slows down your momentum. The browser extension exists to eliminate data entry, letting you focus on applying.

How it works#

Once installed, the extension lives in your browser toolbar. When you are viewing a job posting on a supported site, simply click the Trackr icon.

The extension will automatically extract:

• Job Title
• Company Name
• Full Job Description
• Salary Information (if available)
• The original URL

You can then choose which column in your Trackr board to save it to, all without leaving the job board you are browsing.

• You will be able to attach specific tags to the job right from the extension interface to keep your board organized from the start.

Best Practices#

• Even though the extension automates the data entry, we recommend taking 10 seconds to skim the parsed job description to ensure no weird formatting was carried over from the source website.

FAQ#

Will this work on Firefox or Safari? Our initial launch will support Google Chrome and Chromium-based browsers (like Edge and Brave). Support for Firefox and Safari is planned for a later release.

Does the extension read my other tabs? No. The extension only activates when you explicitly click it, and it only reads the data on the specific page you are currently viewing.
