Using the List View#

The List View is perfect for power users who need to see maximum information at a glance.

Overview#

The List View presents your job applications in a dense, tabular format, much like a spreadsheet. It allows for rapid sorting, scanning, and bulk actions.

Why it exists#

When you have 50+ active applications, a Kanban board can become overwhelming. The List View gives you granular control to sort by date applied, salary, or company name, making it easier to manage a high-volume search.

How it works#

Each row represents an application, and columns represent data points (Company, Title, Status, Date Applied). You can customize which columns are visible and click column headers to sort your data.

Step-by-step instructions#

Accessing the List View#

  1. Navigate to the Applications section.
  2. In the view toggle switch at the top right, click the "List" icon (horizontal lines).

Sorting Data#

  1. Hover over any column header (e.g., "Date Applied").
  2. Click the header to sort ascending.
  3. Click again to sort descending.

Customizing Columns#

  1. Click the "View Options" button (gear icon) above the table.
  2. Check or uncheck the data fields you want to see.
  3. Click outside the menu to save your preferences.

Tips#

Sort by "Last Updated" descending to quickly find the applications you were most recently working on.

Best Practices#

  • Keep it clean: Hide columns you don't use frequently to reduce visual clutter.
  • Weekly review: Use the List View once a week to quickly scan for applications in the "Applied" status that are older than 14 days, signaling it might be time to follow up or move them to "Rejected."

FAQ#

Q: Can I export the List View to Excel? A: Yes. Click the "Export" button in the top right to download your current view as a CSV file.
